Concordia Stingers 13 vs. McGill Redmen 8
The weather was cool and damp and both teams had a rough
afternoon. Concordia rookie quarterback Liam Mahoney,
playing in his second start completed 8 of 13 passes for 102
yards. He had one interseption and rushed for 181 yards.
Concordia's touchdown was scored Curtis Cates on a 7 yard
run completing a nine play 75 yard drive. Rene Paredes
kicked 2 field goals.
McGill took a 7 to 3 lead at halftime.
Quarterback Matt Connell threw a 5 yard pass to Eric Galas
for the touchdown. Matt Connell passed 37 times and
completed 21 for 244 yards in a losing cause. Connell's 940
attempts and 557 completions has set a conference passing
record.
